Sheena Kalmakova is a professional artist and teacher, born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from the University of Victoria, and was a high school teacher for six years in British Columbia.

 

Since moving back to Ottawa in 2012, Sheena has been painting out of her home studio, teaching art, and has been very active in the Ottawa art scene. She collaborates with local groups and organizations to coordinate events for local artists of all ages and stages, and gives workshops and presentations to help support and grow the arts community in Ottawa.

 

Sheena has had many solo art shows in the city and has sold her original paintings and prints both nationally and internationally. Her most recent commissions include artwork for eight book covers for author, Matt Holgate's "The Resurrection Tower" series.
