About The Event
Vitrail, Prisme, & Moon Workshop at Misiwe Ni Relations Healing Lodge
~For beginners and experienced artists~
Pébéo’s Vitrail, Prisme, and Moon paints are oil-based alkyd colours* that self transform to give a variety of effects, such as honeycomb, and hammered finishes.
*Note: These oil-based paints are suspended in solvent.
If you have sensitivities to solvents, please contact me with any questions you may have.
In this workshop, we will learn how to manipulate the unique properties of these mediums and discover how these paints can produce an infinite number of possibilities on their own, or incorporated into your existing work.
We will create two pieces, one on canvas and one on a liquid art panel, and all materials will be provided for you at the workshop. We will be working in the Me-Kwey-Ahtik Room, which is a screen room with excellent ventilation, that overlooks the beautiful forest at Misiwe Ni Relations Healing Lodge.
To bring: Please bring a smock or painting shirt to wear. Slippers or cozy socks are also a great idea. Tea and coffee will be available by donation and you will have access to a kitchen with a fridge if you would like to bring a little snack.
Instructor: Sheena Kalmakova.
Sheena is an artist and teacher. She has her degree in Art Education, and has taught classes and performed product demonstrations for Pébéo Inc.
