Resin Collage Workshop at Misiwe Ni Relations Healing Lodge

~For beginners and experienced artists~

In this workshop, we will work with a variety of texture mediums, acrylic paint, and found objects. Students will be taught how to create and secure a collage with the materials and found objects. Next, students will be introduced to resin and shown how to prepare and apply resin to their artwork. When the collage is dry we will pour the resin over the collage, which will give the artwork a resilient glass-like topcoat.

To know: Resin takes at least 12 hours to dry so artwork will need to be left to dry overnight and can be picked-up the following day.

To bring: Please bring a smock or painting shirt to wear. Slippers or cozy socks is also a great idea. You will have access to a kitchen, so if you would like to bring tea/coffee to make or a water bottle or need to put something in the fridge, we’ve got you covered.

Any items that you wish to use in your collage (feathers, photos, trinkets, etc). I will also bring items that you can use. All other materials will be provided.

Fee: $95. All materials will be provided. Students will take home two finished pieces.
