Resin 3D Effects Workshop at Misiwe Ni Relations Healing Lodge

~For beginners and experienced artists~

Usually, resin is applied as an addition to your artwork to achieve a glass effect on top of your piece…

But what happens when we use the resin instead to create texture?

In this workshop, we will work with Pébéo’s Glazing Resin to create a variety of special effects. Students will learn how to work with resin to achieve texture, magnification, and add 3D effects to their artwork.

Supplies required: Students are asked to bring a few images for collage onto canvas. These photos can be from a magazine, photocopies or computer printed images. I will also bring photos that you can use. All other materials will be provided.

To know: Resin takes at least 12 hours to dry so artwork will need to be left to dry overnight and can be picked-up the following day.

To bring: Please bring a smock or painting shirt to wear. Slippers or cozy socks is also a great idea. You will have access to a kitchen, so if you would like to bring tea/coffee to make or a water bottle or need to put something in the fridge, we’ve got you covered.

Fee: $95. All materials will be provided. Students will take home two finished paintings.
