Creating Strong Abstract Paintings Workshop at Misiwe Ni Relations Healing Lodge

~For beginners and experienced artists~

Sometimes abstracts are successful, and sometimes they end-up looking like a busy mess. This workshop will teach you how to design strong abstract pieces and give you tricks for saving ones that you have given-up on.

Students will complete a variety of practice exercises and apply this learning to an existing piece of theirs that they feel “isn’t working.”

For this workshop, students are asked to bring-in an abstract acrylic painting that they would like to improve. In none is available, a new canvas will be provided for students to demonstrate their learning.

To bring: Please bring a smock or painting shirt to wear. Slippers or cozy socks is also a great idea. You will have access to a kitchen, so if you would like to bring tea/coffee to make or a water bottle or need to put something in the fridge, we’ve got you covered.

Fee: $95. All materials will be provided.
